In 1948 the original Lloyd's opened it's doors on the mezzanine level of Freel's Drugstore. Lloyd Leininger, Kingsport's first male stylist and father to our very own Sally Steele, was the entrepreneur behind this endeavor. He went on to open the Tri-Cities first beauty schools, with one in Kingsport, and another in Bristol. Before his passing in 1962, only 13 years later, he also opened three more flourishing salons in the downtown Kingsport area. Kingsport's salon industry owes a lot to Lloyd Leininger. We proudly carry his vision by carrying only the finest quality products, and highest quality in salon services. We proudly carry on his memory with our salon name "Lloyd's on Commerce."
